BigHand has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 'Technology Provider of the Year' category.

HealthInvestor is delighted to announce the finalists for the HealthInvestor Awards 2013, it's been the most competitive entry process yet, with submissions up by more than 10% on 2012.
The HealthInvestor Awards celebrate excellence and recognise innovation in the healthcare sector. In each of the 22 categories an independent panel of high profile judges will be looking for organisations and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to healthcare in 2012.

The finalists’ entries will now be passed to an independent judging panel, who will select a winner in each category. The winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on Wednesday 12 June.

The KnowList Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of law firms and technology vendors across the legal industry. The category ‘Best Customer Service’ comprised six vendors and BigHand took the title based on the number of votes cast by professionals across the legal community. The award was announced at a prestigious ceremony held Thursday 19th January in central London, and recognises BigHand's commitment to provide high quality customer service and expertise via our account management, delivery and technical support teams.

BigHand is a finalist at the the E-Health Insider Awards 2009 in association with BT received a record number of entries. Over a three day judging process, almost 200 submissions were whittled down to a shortlist for the nine categories on offer.

The editors of Law Technology News asked the publication’s more than 40,000 subscribers to identify products and vendors that represented outstanding achievement in legal technology in 25 categories for its seventh annual awards program, and BigHand was voted best ‘Dictation System’. BigHand for BlackBerry® also scooped the Silver medal in the ‘Mobile Tool’ category, the only digital dictation application to be nominated in this category.

BigHand is a finalist in the 'Business Software of the Year' category at the PC Pro Awards 2009. The category is for the piece of software that our judges believe made the biggest difference to business computing in 2009. The British-American Business Council, Chicago (BABCC) is proud to announce Aon Corporation and BigHand as recipients of the 2009 British Consul General Awards. Aon Corporation is the recipient of the large company award; BigHand is the recipient of the small company award. The award recognises organisations that have made significant contributions to trade and commerce between the United Kingdom and the United States.

The ‘Mobile Product or Service of the Year’ category included as finalists:

The judges commented: “Phones are better for talking into than typing on, a fact no amount of usability sugar can sweeten. BigHand recognised this and has made working life easier for mobile users thereby enhancing productivity and client service.”

BigHand was awarded ‘Best of Breed System of the Year’ at the prestigious Legal Technology Awards 2008, held 31 January 08 at London’s Mariott Grosvenor Square hotel. The award recognises BigHand’s excellence as the developer of the leading digital dictation workflow system BigHand3 and remote working suite including BlackBerry dictation, along with outstanding commercial performance.

The Fast Growth Business Awards, organised in conjunction with Growing Business magazine has announced its shortlist for the 2008 awards. The Fast Growth Business Awards is an independent scheme designed to raise awareness and celebrate the UK’s fastest growing businesses and the people running them. BigHand has been nominated as a finalist in the award category ‘Angel or VC-backed Business of the Year’.

BigHand won the ‘Best Use of Technology in Business 2007’ regional award for the South-East of England at The National Business Awards. The award was made at the regional finals at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, in recognition of the market leading combination of innovation, functionality & reliability of BigHand’s digital dictation workflow software. The multiple mobility features that BigHand has developed in the last year to enhance remote working for professionals were also recognized. Outstanding financial performance and commercial stability were additional criteria cited in the category.

The BCS IT Industry awards are the leading hallmark of success amongst practitioners in the IT industry today. These cross-industry awards recognise, promote and acclaim excellence, professionalism, innovation and the outstanding achievements to which individuals and groups contribute. BigHand is a national finalist with the results due on 6th Dec 2007.

BigHand3 was Highly Commended in the 'Best of Breed System of the Year 2007' category at the Legal Technology Awards 2007. No other digital dictation system even made it into the best of breed category.

BigHand was highly commended in the The AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year category at The National Business Awards. Open to organisations with less than £10 million turnover in their last financial year, only companies that best demonstrate significant growth and innovation in its market sector, underpinned by strong financial performance, get Highly Commended status.

BigHand were listed in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 list again this year, this time at No. 73. BigHand returned sales growth of 52.53% pa between 2003 and 2005. In terms of profitable companies on the list BigHand ranked No. 48. and were one of only 38 companies to be listed for the second year running.

Britain’s one hundred fastest-growing private technology companies were revealed on 25 September 2005, with BigHand ranking 51st overall and the only software developer aimed at the legal sector to make the list. Among the profitable companies in the league table, BigHand was listed in an impressive 32nd place and was shown to be the 19th fastest growing technology company in London.

BigHand was announced as a Deloitte EMEA Fast-500 Winner, a list which details the 500 fastest growing high-tech companies across Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

BigHand was voted "Best Legal Office Technology System" at the 2004 LOTIES.

At an award ceremony held by Deloittes at The Savoy on Oct 28th 2004, BigHand was announced as the 23rd fastest growing IT company in London and the South-East. BigHand was the highest ranking professional services software company listed. BigHand has also been listed as one of Europe's 500 fastest growing TMT companies.

Professor Richard Susskind OBE presented the most coveted award in the legal technology arena, the SCL IT Award, to BigHand in 2003 for our digital dictation product. The SCL Award is made annually for "the most outstanding application of information technology to the law in the UK and Ireland."

In the premier category of the LOTIE Awards in November 2003, BigHand was voted Best Legal Office Technology Supplier. BigHand beat highly regarded companies such as Tikit, Solicitec, Solution 6, iManage, Elite, Axxia & Eclipse to win the most hotly contested category.

BigHand Digital Dictation won Best Legal Office Technology Automation System 2002. No other dictation system was even nominated for the award.
